This was so lovely and hopeful too - I did have a little cry and lots of giggle too AND I have a wonderful mental image of you as a fabulous anna karenina type character in the winter now too! I think what Sebastian said is so wise - that illness and disability will be part of most people's lives it's just not 'expected' in younger people. Also I think when you are ill or in pain a lot it can make you forget the whole picture of who you are but other people can still that whole picture. It seemed like that was something that immediatley comes through from this episode of the rest room. Thanks Natasha and Sebastian too! xxx
Thank you so much, Bryony! I'm glad there were giggles there to balance out the little cry!
I loved when Sebastian said that, too. It's something he's been saying for years and it's so true. And I agree with you, when you're ill or in pain, it can be so easy to see anything of yourself beyond that - but we rely on those around us, and those who love us, to be able to see it and remind us.
And yes, I have to say, I can pull off the "Natasha from Russia" vibes very well.
Just lovely! Sebastian isn’t a martyr, but he sure is a real mensch. The wedding photo of him helping you in the chair was just so full of love and caring. Bummer that you missed an evening with C and A, but how great you were included and cared for with chips. You are both amazing role models for relationships with or without chronic conditions.

Thank you, Mirl!!! He certainly is a mensch (and a bloody brilliant cook too!) We were so glad we got to see you when you came to London!
