I am so very emotional right now girls. I want to thank you for the podcast and give a resounding well done! You have taught me something I don’t think I’ve acknowledged before! that all of this illness isn’t my fault. I often don’t comment because I’ve had severe m.e. For 34 years and am 65 now! But hearing how you were as a teenager was exactly what I went through…. And I felt less than everyone else because they had stamina and I didn’t. I wanted to be a ballet dancer and got to college but had to leave due to illness. Suffice to say this could become a tome! So I will stop now unless you want to know more of my story. From today I am no longer going to shoulder the blame for my m. E. And realise it doesn’t control every aspect of my personality!! Which I have allowed it to do for years….. 😊 thank you so very much. Quick add on, my mum advocated for me my whole life and fought so hard. It was interesting hearing you talk about your mums. They deserve huge credit. Xxx
Oh thank you so much, Diane. I've also shared your comment with Natasha - it means so much to both of us.
And yay big hugs to your mum! I'm so glad that listening helped you acknowledge that your illness isn't your fault - that's huge! I'd love to hear your story. I'm actually going to publish an introduce yourself thread next week, so perhaps you could share there when it's posted?
